The White Hart Hotel ~ History of the building
The White Hart Hotel was Built in the 15th century as a lodging house for the church, the hotel has gone through many changes over the years. In 1640 it is recorded that it became the "Harts Head Inn" at a rate of three shillings. Additions to the front and stable yard to the back allowed it to accommodate the increased demand from travellers by coach.

The White Hart Hotel`s acclaimed bedrooms are all individually decorated whilst still featuring some of the more interesting historical features of the building. Modern necessities such as hairdryer, trouser press, tea/coffee trays and direct dial telephone with modem come as standard in the rooms. The bedrooms are situated at the rear of the hotel, giving you peace and quiet, yet still in the heart of England's smallest city.

The White Hart Hotel was built in the 15th century and maintains many of its original features yet has been modernised without losing any of its character or charm. Located in the centre of Wells, it is close to all major tourist attractions.
